Summary/Abstract: Manganese phosphating is a galvanic process running at the liquid-metal interface. An important element is the maintenance of strictly defined chemical parameters of the operations at the galvanic line. This paper presents the course of manganese phosphating process as well as hazards at the workplace related to this process as well as hazards occurring at the post of laboratory worker who has direct contact with highly dangerous substances. The collection of samples for testing, analysis and bathing results in real health risks for the lab personnel. The main hazards associated with the work of a laboratory worker during the process of manganese phosphating include direct contact with highly corrosive chemicals such as: concentrated hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hot solutions of process baths with high temperature and volume.
