Summary/Abstract: "The Tale of the Tribe" attempts to reveal the European stature of a controversial character in both American and European cultural milieus: the American poet Ezra Pound. His contribution to the contemporary discussion over the rediscovery of European identity lies in the highlighting of the hidden thread uniting several cultures in Europe, in spite of differences in language and tradition. His theory regarding the relation between cultural productions born in different times and places tries to contribute to the establishment of an uninterrupted "tale" of our European "tribe".
