Considerations on "Child" Meaning in Romanian Domestic Legislation

Summary/Abstract: The non-correlation of internal and international normative acts makes the notions of "minor", "minor child" and "child" to be used at the same time. In this study, the term "child" is analyzed both lato sensu and stricto sensu and especially in relation to the meaning given by the ONU Convention on the Rights of the Child. Also, given that parental authority is exercised until the child acquires full exercise capacity (Article 484 C. civ.), this study also analyzes aspects related to this capacity.
