Summary/Abstract: Romania’s Integration in the EU (beginning with January 1-st 2007) formally marks the overcoming of a stage which is full of controversies in the contemporary history of Romania. What is the post-communist transition and what its effects are in a country that has condemned communism by an official Report, but which the European statistics keep on ranking high in an official „top” of corruption or of the number of HIV infected children?
