Summary/Abstract: This article is the first in a series which approaches the different coordinates in the manifestation of the dispute between postmodernity and modernity. The coordinate analysed in this article is the economic-social one, dominantly post-industrial and highlighted as a structural pillar of the articulation of the architecture of charateristics of the identity ensemble of postmodernity.
