Summary/Abstract: The subsequent article discusses the issue of the recent events related to the Russian intervention in Georgia. The dominant opinion is that Russia has followed a scenario already met in other areas (i. e. Transnistria) thus proving once more to be a security threat whom the Western states must treat as such.
