Treasure Hunt at the Puck Puppet Festival

Summary/Abstract: The Puck International Festival of Puppet and Marionette Theatres has come to its 17th edition. Réka Hegyi reviews the program of the event and discusses the best performances, while also criticizing the selection criteria regarding the Transylvanian Hungarian theatrical presence and offer in this particular field. According to her, the festival does not pay enough attention to puppet and children’s theatre productions outside​ the state theatres, although there are many valuable independent shows in these genres as well.
