Summary/Abstract: One of the most important functions of each country can be providing citizens with protection against threats. The security of citizens is ensured by appropriate institutions and specialized services, including those responsible for emergency response and rescue. Pre-hospital care is implemented by a medical emergency system. The author’s intention is to present issues related to crisis management and medical rescue, and in particular legal aspects of the functioning of both systems.
