Summary/Abstract: The article presents a variety of issues related to generation diversity of employees in contemporary organizations. The article begins with short characteristics of the generations coexisting on the labour market nowadays, that is traditionalists, baby boomers, generation X, generation Y, generation Z (C). Based on the above mentioned characteristics, the author indicates the differences between two approaches, that is one known as age management and the other one defined as management of generation diversity. Moreover, the article outlines a number of advantages related to the implementation of various types of mentoring as a tool supporting proactive approach to generation diversity of the employees.
