Summary/Abstract: The Anglo-Romanian collaboration in the field of endowment of the Romanian Army with modern weaponry was a failure from all points of view. The reasons for this failure are multiple: the incompetence of the Romanian representatives sent to London to negotiate the acquisitions; the unfortunate influence of General Mikhail Belyaev, which convinced the British that the supply of the Romanian Army was unnecessary because it would be integrated into the Russian army; the preconceptions existing at the Ministry of Munitions in London, preferring to feed the Romanian army through Russia, leaving it to its mercy. Romania was rescued by the French government, which undertook the supply and re-equipping of the Romanian Army.
