Summary/Abstract: The “new evangelization” is a synonymous of the rebirth of the life of faith in the Church. If accepted by all the communities of the divided Christian Church it can contribute to fruitful proclamation of Jesus Christ to the contemporary world, and to build a visible koinonia. The new evangelization should therefore be seen as a challenge to all Christian denominations. The church must see the need for complementarity and interplay of the two initiatives for the world: new evangelization and ecumenism.
