Summary/Abstract: The present article aims at discussing the issue of the sustainable development of Romanian economy within the process of European integration, by including some minimal requirements in order to achieve the general objective of a sustainable development. The analysis correlates the macroeconomic indicators and the European requirements on economic efficiency and performance.
