FOR ACHIEVING THE LEGAL CONDITIONS OF EVIDENCE, IS IT NECESSARY FOR THE FORENSIC AUTOPSY TO BE PERFORMED BY AN OFFICIAL FORENSIC EXPERT?

Summary/Abstract: The present paper analyzes the forensic autopsy and the forensic expertise and it outlines the importance of the quality that the forensic doctor should have in the light of the new legislative reforms, the official forensic expert both in the forensic autopsy and in the forensic expertise. In the article there are two cases that highlight the need for the forensic physician to have the quality of an official forensic expert.
