Summary/Abstract: The latest draft amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure proposed, inter alia, the repeal of Articles 342-348 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which governs the institution of the preliminary chamber. At the same time, articles 3701-3705 of the Code of Criminal Procedure proposed the introduction of a new institution, in a separate chapter entitled "Preliminary Verification at First Instance", which regulates the procedure for verifying the regularity of the indictment and the procedure verification of the lawfulness of evidence and the execution of acts by the criminal investigation bodies.
