Summary/Abstract: The article clarifies the main principles of the pretentious concept of deliberative democracy, developed in the end of 20th century and shared by many investigators. Against this background the article evaluates the role of Internet for the realization of the political project of vitalization of democracy. On the one hand, the article delineates the tendencies where the new technologies are in accordance with the ideal of deliberative democracy.
