Summary/Abstract: This article is an analysis of the concept of historicism in the work of one of the most important socio-political philosopher, K. R. Popper. I try to explain how Popper understands historicism and how he understands the beginning of this type of thinking. According to Popper, the aim of historicism is to predict the future development of society and to discover the laws under which this development will develop. Popper thinks that historicism contains many methodological shortcomings and may be responsible for the planning of totalitarian society. I am convinced that the light of knowledge can be great help in this situation.
