Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a model for the interpretation of direct and indirect speech acts using pragmatic theories. The aim of this presentation is to show the functioning and mutual combinations of direct and, especially, indirect speech acts in conversational situations of dramatic discourse in Macedonian, and also to show the motivation for certain kinds of their realizations.
