Summary/Abstract: The author focuses on the analysis of characters from A. Kim’s novel Father-Forest and the created in the work concept of the world as a huge Human Forest. Three generations of the Turajev are characterized by the feeling of loneliness, sensitivity to the contemporary degradation of human existence in the 20th century, turning to auto-destruction and destruction of Earth as a planet. However, as the author points out, the writer foresees not only tragic results of human destructive activity, but also notices a chance for rebirthing through Christian love, referring to Taoism and Hinduism as well. Depicting people’s metamorphoses into trees, Kim also refers to Greek and Slavonic mythologies, as well as to Hinduism (transmigration of souls). The article raises the issue of wide philosophical contents the writer refers to (Fiodorov, Viernadski, Teihard de Chardin and others).
