Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to present the role and responsibilities of intelligence in the Counterintelligence (COIN) operation. The author has described the basic sources of information, their classification and the most important differences for the intelligence in the COIN operation and conventional war. The paper has also described the most effective sources of information in the COIN operation and problems during analytical process.
