Summary/Abstract: In the twenty-first century, digital media (including email, blogs, and social networks) plays an important role in political communication – both in the official communication of political campaigns and in the popular political humor of the elections. This paper focuses on the online, mainly humorous, folklore of the 2014 Hungarian elections. It demonstrates how, using traditional patterns of folklore as well as individual creativity, this material reflects the actual political situation.
