Summary/Abstract: This paper considers the subject of cyber-attacks as one of the most worrying security issues that countries are confronting nowadays. We describe the evolution of this concept, the main types of cyber-attacks and relevant examples in history and present days. We analyze the measures implemented by different countries and companies in order to counter-attack this form of aggression and its impact from an economic point of view.
