Summary/Abstract: Concrete art of Stanisław Dróżdż (1939-2009) is analyzed in the context of his inspirations and original aesthetics of his artwork. Dróżdż’s art was formed in the border zone between poetry and art and his works are both images and texts. At the beginning, he worked with linguistic poetry and next he continued his experiments with big spatial projects. He concentrated on the borders of the human perception of the world. He considered partiality in the context of ‘the frames’ in his artwork. There were no begins and ends in his texts, and that fact was the most important characteristics of his aesthetics. There is the suggestion in them that the whole reality is in fact the text. Dróżdż’s artwork automatically was connected by art critics to the trend of conceptual art, but most important for it is that the beginning if it was in literature. He broadened the idea of poetry and combined poetry with its visual aspects, just like the idea of conceptualism broadened art.
