Summary/Abstract: Mankind have always lived together with handicrafts since existence. For centuries, the society’s life pleasure, story, emotions and thoughts have become integrated with the sense of art and handicrafts and people’s emotions and thoughts have been transferred to the works delicately. Involved among handicrafts; embroidery is an old branch of art that had started with sewing a long time ago. Embroidery is a type of handicraft reflecting the inner beauty and talents of the Turkish society ideally. Calculation craft which is a unique type of our traditional embroideries is performed counting the weaving threads, transferring a pattern to a millimetric paper by counting, processing on fabrics tightened on a hoop and frame with threads, silver and a flat wire using a needle and it appears the same both reversely and straightly. It is the transfer of embroidery techniques of the Turkish society to new generations with their past application styles according to today’s needs and modernity. Serious studies to be conducted for this purpose will light the way for the development of embroidery art, prevent corruption and enable us to look to the future more confidently. In the study, ten calculation craft environment products available in the Turkish Cultural Museum of Keçiören Municipality Estergon Castle were examined for the purpose of revealing needle techniques, fabric, thread, color and composition characteristics, adornment subjects and edging techniques, handing the calculation craft down the next generations without changing it and setting an example for similar studies. Characteristics of calculation craft environment products were recorded and documented in information forms; the data obtained from the information forms were interpreted and the patterns of these products were drawn in a software, Corel Draw.
