Summary/Abstract: Modifying a traditional methodology such as PRINCE2 to work and upgrade the SCRUM techniques, will build a stable process for project management. By merging PRINCE2 and SCRUM, an organization could theoretically answer more promptly to changing requirements and uncertainty, while still providing a traditional level of comfort that the complete project direction is under control. Statistical process control serves as a tool for stepwise optimization of project management quality by distinguishing special and common causes of variation. This helps the manager to get reliable feedback for the performance of his workers and his own. Here we propose monitoring statistical properties of various metrics such as task delays for which we give probability distribution and upper/lower control limits calculation formula for the control chart. We also present software system, developed for this project management methodology.
