Summary/Abstract: From the technical point of view, the medical act is limited to establishing adiagnosis for the purpose of recommending a treatment. Are things so simple?From a hermeneutic-philosophical point of view, any medical act involves ameeting between two individuals, with the establishment of a special type of interhuman relationship, conditioned by the specific context of this encounter. For thisreason, emotional load can reach extreme levels by the existence of factors thatinclude: an nearness that goes beyond the comfort zone of the individual, touchingbody area, approaching intimate subjects, to receive news (good or bad). Butwhat is the rol of emotional intelligence, in therapeutic communications? Thisstudy approach the subject in modern medical conception who places moreemphasis on the involvement of emotional factors in medical communications. Thearticle brings attention, through a study on 200 patients, the importance of theemotional approach of the patient in the light of previously exposed. The patient -centered medicine has emerged as a need to change the paradigm of the medicalact, in which the patient's approach is individualized and holistic, in a bio-psychosocial context. The present substudy is a part of a large study carried out between2008-2016; is a prospective, mixt study who fulfills the conditions for humanstudies. Applying this medical model leads to the emergence of new concepts inmedicine, that go beyond the classical model, namely: redefinition of thetherapeutic relationship and its model of functioning
