The Eucharistic Terminology and the Disputes surrounding it in the 17th Century in the view of the dogmatist Nicolae Chiţescu. An instructive history in the year dedicated to the Brâncoveni Saints

Summary/Abstract: In this study, the author highlights the contribution of Professor Nicolae Chițescu to the renewal of Orthodox dogmatic in Romania, and his contribution to the elucidation of Eucharistic terminology in Romanian theology of the first half of the twentieth century. The starting point of the study about the Eucharistic terminology is the dogmatic dispute aroused in the seventeenth century. Among the protagonists of this dispute we meet also Constantin Brancoveanu; the Romanian Patriarchate celebrates this year 300 years since his martyrdom.
