Summary/Abstract: In the paper there is above all a general review and analysis of the process of transposition. Under special emphasis are both its positive aspects and its defects. Further on in a critical perspective under consideration is the issue of the shortcomings with regard to the transposition of Directive 2014/57/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on criminal sanctions for market abuse (market abuse directive). Under particular consideration is the transposition of the crime under Article 3 of the Directive (the so-called "abuse with inside information") in Article 260а of the Bulgarian Criminal Code and the defects effected in this regard.
