Summary/Abstract: On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the death of composer Vojin Komadina I will present compositions under the common name Refrain. Seven compositions were written in composer’s fruitful period (1969–1981), and only one was intended for solo instruments. Today we have saved scores and recordings of four Refrein. Through their presentation I will try to describe their character and also changes that occur in the musical language of Vojin Komadina. The text looks back on the first Refrein in which influences of European avantgarde are recognized, as well as later works where the interweaving of contemporary musical language and folk heritage can be seen.
