Summary/Abstract: In this paper author discussed chosen problems and barriers of Walbrzych development. Walbrzych is the second largest (in terms of the population numbers) centre in the Lower Silesia region. The author analyzed crucial sources and determinants - especially endogenous – in order to strengthen Walbrzych position in the region.
