Summary/Abstract: Since the ancient myth of Ulysses (Ithaca),the home is a kind of foothold of being,a place without which we always feel abandoned, or lost. Bachelard in his topoanalysis (The Poetics of Space) includes spaces as the house (from basement to roof), then there are also the hidden spaces of drawers, cupboards, corners, nests,shells, all these scattered around the poetic images. According to him, the home is the basis of any analysis of privacy. He gives to the home a cosmic dimension in which the intimacy of our being is completely outlined.
