Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to point out two neuralgic issues in the German--Hungarian relations in the interwar period: the situation of the German minority in Hungary, and the problematic cooperation between the German and Hungarian minorities in the neigboring states of Hungary. The research is based on the analysis of two contemporary newspaper debates from the interwar period.
