Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the lexical composition of the Azbučna Molitva in comparison with the lexical composition of Lestvica according to the text of the ancient manuscript of the Preslav translation. The oldest text of the Azbučna Molitva was reconstructed by K. Kuiev. Both texts belong to Preslavskaya book school. The lexical compositions of the Azbučna Molitva and the Lestvica are very close. The basis of both monuments is the stock of words of the Old Slavonic language. In both texts there are words that characterize the Preslav literary school. The article treats the text of the Azbučna Molitva according to the manuscript of the mid-fifteenth of the Cyril Belozersky Monastery, No. 22/1099 (Russian National Library). This text is a new Russian version of the Azbučna Molitva. In the new version there are no words typical for the Preslav tradition, but the sacred meaning of the Azbučna Molitva is not lost.
