Summary/Abstract: The focus of the article is on the notion of justice - IUSTITIA - in Roman law. It follows the development of the meaning and the use of latin notions related to the idea of equity. The article examines latin texts from Corpus Iuris Civilis and their importance for the Roman jurisprudence and the idea of equity.
