Summary/Abstract: A dynamic and fast – changing environment sets out new challenges for entrepreneurs. There are now new strategic approaches and therefore new methods supporting effectiveness of business processes, consistent with developed strategy. The article is devoted to current difficulties with implementing and monitoring strategy treated as the main policy challenges. Furthermore, the paper is concerned with the Balanced Scorecard conception and its numerous implementations. The Balanced Scorecard is presented as a multifaceted and timeless tool, with high growth potential in the area of supporting strategic activities.
