AN INVENTORY OF EDUCATION PROFESSIONS IN MOESIA INFERIOR

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the education professions identified in Moesia Inferior. The primary sources of the investigation consist of epigraphic evidence. The paper was structured in three parts, divided in two segments: Histria-Tomis-Callatis and Noviodunum-Troesmis-Capidava. In the beginning, the paper deals with the education professions recorded in the Greek and the Roman system. Then, the paper identifies the teachers and those who sustained the education financially. In the end, the paper has conclusions and provides work hypothesis for further investigations.
