Summary/Abstract: The present paper reviews the book by Vojtech Vladár devoted to the history of church law. The textbook focuses on the general history of the Western Church. It also thoroughly discusses the development of church law on the territory of contemporary Slovakia. The author conducts research on Roman law and church law and is a lecturer at the University of Trnava.
