Summary/Abstract: The author describes in detail the prohibition of competition after the termination of employment relationship, focusing primarily on the provisions of the Labor Code and mentioning the appropriate application of the provisions of the Civil Code. The aim of the study is to present this institution with labor law and draw conclusions, which ends with the postulate de lege ferenda. The study discusses the prohibition of competition after the termination of the employment relationship with a detailed indication of competitive activity, content of the competition ban, compensation, deadline, scope, form of the contract, and termination of non-competition and breach of the prohibition by the employee, together with the consequences thereof
