Summary/Abstract: This study is devoted to the issue of the legal limitation of the entrepreneur’s ability to run a business. The study attempts to show what economic activity is, what is its scope and subject matter, and what may be the consequences of the prohibition of conducting business activity against an entrepreneur who is respectively: a natural person, a legal person or an organizational unit without legal personality, and having legal capacity. Depending on the legal status of the entrepreneur, the adjudicated ban on running a business (irrespective of its basis) may give rise to various consequences of an existential nature of the entrepreneur.
