Summary/Abstract: In the development of online shops logistics has grown to become one of the most important pillars in their business. It has become a tool that can attract new and old customers by: availability of goods, varied delivery options, low cost of shipping, delivery timeliness, compliance of the shipment with the order, or lack of damage to the delivered products. This article is theoretical and is dedicated to issues related to the application of e-commerce logistics. It is based on available data and reports. The basic purpose of the text is to present the place of logistics in e-commerce, as well as to present selected aspects of functioning of the e-commerce market in Poland.
