Summary/Abstract: The authors discuss the possibility of skillful acquisition and use by the commander of information for decision-making. For this purpose the information systems for collecting, storing and processing information in order to properly secure mass events are depicted. Having the proper and specific information allows the police commander to make the right decisions. But it should be remembered that the human factor always plays a crucial role in decision-making process.
