Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present and systematize the regulations that define the tasks and powers of the main subjects of the state in the management of national security, and to determine their common connections. The article describes the tasks and competences of the main bodies of the constitutional state in the management of national security. In the article the competences and prerogatives of the President of Poland in this field as well as the organization and responsibilities of the subject supporting it were presented. The scope of the tasks in the management of national security to be implemented by the National Security Council, the Cabinet Council and the National Security Bureau were discussed. The paper include also the permissions of Council of Ministers and its legal powers in the national security system.
