Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to present an overview of Polish energy market in years 2008-2017 and its development perspectives, first of all energy consumption. For the purpose of this article, selected aspects of the energy market were chosen and they were compared over the years. Based on data, conclusions were created and they were comprared with the government and internacional strategies of the Polish electric market growth prospects.
