Summary/Abstract: The work analyses Austrian criminal procedures from 1853 and 1873, studying selected cases heard by the Criminal Land Court in Kraków. The objective behind the comparison of the two acts is to portray the transformation of Austrian criminal procedure in time. It evolved from the inquisitive model with its dominant theory of legal proof to the mixed trial based on the right of confrontation.
