Summary/Abstract: Manipulation is an essential of communication and a way to organizing, dominate and lead used in all spheres of human activity. Throughout history, it also proves to be a negative phenomenon and a benefit of humanity, contributing to human progress. How is manipulation understood today? What are its meanings? What we have been without manipulation? These are questions that I will try to answer in this paper, taking into account the three possible meanings of the concept of manipulation: accredited negative, positive and neutral (of influence).
