Summary/Abstract: This paper is presenting a Late Neolithic settlement dated to the formative/early period of the Lengyel culture excavated at Csúcshegy-Harsánylejtő, Budapest IIIrd district. Among the pottery finds, characteristic features of the Sopot, Lužianky and Tisza cultures can be observed, reflecting the mediating role of the region of the modern capital. The houses supported by post structure with massive ceiling and rafter roof structure could be an early appearance of this housing type.
