Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), used in various e-Health projects, are the important part of many health care systems in the world. However, as practice shows, they are not always the source of measurable benefits. The article presents an overview of selected e-Health solutions supporting health care and the characteristics of the selected paradoxes of e-Health. These include Duncan’s paradox, productivity paradoxes, information and geography paradoxes. The article discusses also the main reasons for their occurrence and some ways to solve them. The perspective of different stakeholders in the health care system has been taken into account. In the last part of the article discussion on the occurrence of particular paradoxes of eHealth in the Polish health care system has been presented.
