Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of the research is to complete the knowledge about responsibility in education carried out by a teacher-carrier in the process of taking care and education of a student in the times of rapid changes in reality around. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The following research issues have been formulated: What are the aspects/components of responsibility in education? What are the consequences – teacher’s ethical dilemmas in creating individual attitudes of students, pupils – harges of the education system? The reflection is a study of the literature of the philosophy school ethics, pedagogy of caring, theory of education, cognitive and practical experience of the authors. The reflection is mutual statement of an experienced researcher – an educator, a specialist in pedagogy of family and social care and an experienced teacher, a counselor at school and educational care centre – meanwhile taking his first steps in science. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The aim of the article is fulfilled in the process of argumentation, which consists of: the introduction of the issue and the presentation of its understanding. Subsequently, the authors show examples of axiological dilemmas, emerging from discrepancy between teacher’s attitudes and his responsibility for creating students’ individual attitudes. RESEARCH RESULTS: The presented analysis indicates the need to pay attention to the responsibility components in education and sets further directions of cognition and the need for the implementation of a project taking into account empirical research concerning institutional responsibility of upbringing and education shared primarily with the family. It indicates the overall recognition of the phenomenon without concealing its essential components. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Furtherer exploration of the undertaken topic is needed, as well as a corresponding research. In addition pedagogical students need to be sensitized to the indicated issues, while basing on the scientific objectivism. In times of social change, the significance of teacher’s responsibility should be highlighted and adequate trainings and counselling ought to be provided for teachers and school’s managing personnel.
