Summary/Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with the issue of needs of non-formal carers having the care of a senior with dementia syndrome, and with the current state of the support for these carers. The main goal is to map in selected non-formal carers in Prague region what are important needs of non-formal carers in order to be able to provide care in the natural surroundings of a senior as long as possible.
