Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the selected tools to support informal care. The article focuses on current strategies and concepts, on relevant legislation and also presents selected economic resources to support informal carers at national and regional level. It deals also with the new designed cash benefit for informal carers. The author does not have the ambition to cover all tools but rather a probe into the issue.
