Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the cult of St. Naum Ohridski, the main factors for its occurrence, development and significance. The activity of the holy person is connected with this of Saints Cyril and Methodius and their followers. The cult of St. Naum is important mainly in Ohrid and the surrounding areas, though retains its importance for the Bulgarian Orthodox tradition. For him typical sustainability through the centuries and in the place where he is revered. The main objectives of the cult have been the spread of Christianity, education and building new churches. But in general reverence for the saint is based on a standard orthodox model.
